ABOUT
ME:
Graduate, class
of ’78, of the
University of Utah College of Law (now the S.J.Quinney College of
Law) in Salt Lake City, Utah. My undergraduate and graduate
work was all in the area of psychology.
Admitted to the New York State Bar
and to the Utah State Bar. I am also a member of the Association
of the Bar of the City of New York and of its Committee on Children
and the Law. I am a past president of the International Law
Section of the Utah State Bar and served as an officer of the World
Trade Association of Utah. I also served on the state board
of the League of Women Voters of Utah and the board of the Salt Lake
Central City.
In New York, my work was in the
areas of banking and corporate law. I regularly serve as an
arbitrator and mediator in securities and commercial disputes.
Grade school teacher in an international
school in Europe for five years. For two years I was a research
assistant on a major psychiatric research project.
I have three grown daughters and a
grandson who was born in 2004.
Returned to an active practice after
a period of retirement. Because personal experience has shown
me the joy, the wonder, the deep, life-long satisfaction
of bringing a child into a safe and happy home, I am now practicing
exclusively in the area of adoptions.
Because of
my corporate and banking experience, I am comfortable with complex
paper work
Because of
my pre-law work and community involvement, I am comfortable with
social and psychological issues.
Because I
am a seasoned, reliable and efficient attorney, I know the importance
of choosing the right helping and guiding hand.
But
most of all, because I am a mother of three daughters and am
a grandmother of a wonderful little boy, I know the rich, exciting
- and courageous - adventure that is the building of a family.
