Fees will be fixed between
us by a written agreement at the outset.

The agreement will generally provide for a retainer
and, in the event of services to be provided for special
or unexpected matters that may arise, additional fees on
an hourly basis.
There is no charge for an initial consultation.
Expenses:
In addition to the fee arrangement, the adoptive parents
can expect to pay for:

fingerprinting (of themselves
and other adults in the home)
-
home study
by a social worker
-
the birth mother’s expenses (in a private
placement), as provided for by the relevant jurisdiction, and
may include her legal fees, transportation, reasonable living
expenses, hospital and other pregnancy-related medical costs.
(Allowable expenses and fees vary from state to state, and must
be determined in each case.)
